I can't write an official critique, because I'm not a DA premium member, but I'll write one of my own anyway!
I love this shot...the faded colours work well together, and the rising glow of the sun beyond the horizon is absolutely gorgeous - a well timed shot, for sure, especially with just a few clouds peppered across the sky (the colours of which have been captured perfectly...) Overall, the lighting is spot on - you've retained the ambience of the foreground whilst managing to capture the sun rising above the skyline. As a conceptual piece, I think it portrays Wells Next the Sea excellently - I go there regularly for weekend breaks with my family, and enjoy it every single time - the dunes and pinewoods in particular have a special place in my heart...! I think the beach is at it's best when there's no-one around, and little activity on the shores - a time which you have captured in this very shot. On a personal note, me and my Dad never did get to those islands in the distance... every time we go, we vow to swim across and see what's over there - but we always seem to be pre-occupied with something else... maybe one day...
Well done for a fantastic shot!
